NOTE: ChessPartner 6 is fully compatible with Vista and Windows 7. This article only applies to ChessPartner 5.x and before.

The security model of Windows Vista is drastically changed. In order to install ChessPartner you need to run the setup program with admin privileges. This can be done by right clicking on the setup program and the select 'Run as Administrator'.

After ChessPartner is installed, it must also run with admin privileges, this can be done in the same way as with the setup. Its also possible to change the shortcut to always run with admin privileges, to do this, right click on the link, then select properties...   Select the Compatibility tab, on that tab check the 'Run this program as administrator' option.

This information applies to al versions of ChessPartner up to version 5.4.0.6
